Application For Admission

Generally, UTAR has two intakes per year, January and May. You are advised to apply as early as possible after having considered carefully your choices.

All applications must be made on the prescribed form available at RM10.00 per set from:

  • All UTAR campuses

  • All Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (KTAR) campuses

Application Form can also be downloaded from the University Homepage, http://www.utar.edu.my.

To request for the Application Form through mail, please follow these steps:

  • Enclose a self-addressed envelope (15" X 10") affixed with RM3.50 stamp.

  • Enclose a Money Order/Postal Order (RM 10.00 for each set of form), made payable to "Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman".

  • Send the above to:

Submission of Application Form

The completed Application Form and required documents must be submitted to the Department of Admissions and Credit Evaluation before the stipulated closing date. Application forms submitted with incomplete documentation may result in your application being delayed or rejected.

You will receive an acknowledgement from the University upon receipt of your Application Form. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. The University is not responsible for any loss or damage of Application Form on transit.

All documents submitted to the University for admission purposes will be treated with the strictest confidentiality. The documents will become part of the University's official files and will not be released or returned to you.

Selection

UTAR selects applicants based on academic merit, order of choice of courses and the availability of places.

Status of Application

You will be notified of the status of your application in writing. You may also check the status and are advised against contacting the University before the notification.

False Information/Documents

Your admission to a programme of study is based on the authenticity of documents submitted and information contained in your Application Form. Any false information/documents proffered by you may lead to a termination of your candidature with the University.
